After attending a meeting concerning an eyeball stealing serial killer, Shin stumbles through a door and gets lost in the Nexus. He manages to aquaint himself with the place via the PSA and the pamphlets, and had the foresight to purchase a PINpoint from the vending machine, but unfortunately the most anyone could do to help him get home was give him advice and catch him up with recent developments.
Being unsuccessful in his earlier attempts, Shin had to resort to renting a hotel room in the downtown area of the Nexus, just so he had a place to stay while he was still looking for the door home. Along the way, he ran into Death himself and Loki, the Norse god of chaos. A couple of rather interesting characters to find on the way home, but the Nexus probably has stranger things in store...
After his conversation with Loki, Shin finally managed to locate the entrance to his home world. After a joyful reunion with the furniture he created, he made sure to log the location of his floor (and other places in his world) into the PINpoint so he may come and go to the Nexus as he pleases. He decided not to talk about the Nexus with people in his world since his colleagues might think he was even crazier than usual. How long this secret arrangement can possibly last remains to be seen.
Here is a list of settings associated with Angels of Death. You're free to let your character stumble into one of the AUs while worldhopping, but please contact the mun before you send them to Shin's home world.
HOME WORLD: The setting Shin is from exists somewhere in America, a few years before 2016. It seems rather normal (if a touch on the amoral side) until you head out of the city for a few miles and find yourself at a certain church ground. There, the local reverend is conducting a brutal experiment of vice and virtue, gathering deranged serial killers to serve as "angels" bent on punishing the "sacrifices" in any way they see fit. The experiment itself is in the early stages of development as of Shin's canonpoint, but you still don't want to get caught in that killing floor of a basement.
The location of this world's door is a secret Shin won't readily share. If you really want to visit, you may have to convince him to lead you there.
CAFE AU: This portal takes you to the doorstep of an odd cafe/restaurant. It looks homey at first glance, but then you meet the eccentric waitstaff and have a look at the unique menu... With a couple of foods that seem out of place. Seriously, they're serving steak that's shaped like a tombstone in the same establishment as cereal drowning in Coca-Cola! Nevertheless, this small cafe is a hit with the local customers.
You can get to this world from the Nexus by going into an alleyway downtown. Although Shin's counterpart in this world can sometimes be seen at the cafe, he does not work there. Please let him have his lunch in peace.
HIGH SCHOOL AU: This setting features a high school founded by a mysterious old man whose goal is to save less fortunate people from a life of misery. The school itself is currently undergoing renovations due to a violent incident that somehow leveled most of the building, so classes take place in the building's 7 story basement. Perhaps you might make friends with the odd assortment of students and staff here? Or maybe you just came to pet the puppy that happens to be the school mascot.
You can get to this world from the Nexus by traveling down a certain street downtown. The status of Shin's counterpart here is unknown.
HAUNTED HOUSE AU: On one hand, it's really a haunted attraction that travels from place to place for the sole purpose of scaring people silly. On the other hand, everyone involved in this attraction happens to be some sort of monster. Literally.
You can only get to this world by punching buttons on your PINpoint. Shin's counterpart in this world does not appear in the attraction, but there's rumors about a pair of jiangshi hopping around somewhere...
